A motorized roller conveyor uses compact 24VDC motor-driven rollers to power defined conveyor zones. Each motorized roller transfers motion to adjacent carrying rollers, allowing sections of the conveyor to operate only when product movement is required.
Zone control makes MDR well suited to transporting, queuing, buffering, positioning, and releasing compatible cartons, totes, cases, and packages. In a zero-pressure accumulation system, sensing and controls stop upstream zones before products contact one another, then release loads according to the required flow logic.
Because power and control are distributed by zone, MDR systems can support quiet operation, reversing, variable speeds, controlled release, and flexible system sequencing.
